“Oh hey there girl! Last night was fabulous, need to do that
again ASAP!” Now that was something you wouldn’t
say to your manager. Heck that is something you wouldn’t say to your mom. Well
maybe the Kardashin sisters. That is one weird family relationship. I determine audience by time and place. That
saying is “there are a time and a place for everything” that is one thing I live
by. Oh if you haven’t notice from reading my blog’s or papers I’m a huge fan of
“sayings” or “quotes”. I love sayings because it’s always true, it’s like a
history. It’s probably something someone had experience before and most likely
you will as well. So, as I stated before, timing is key factor of an audience.
What I stated before was the timing of after “professional” hours, mainly the
weekend. You wouldn’t say that at 9am on a Monday in a business meeting on a
phone call now would you? Absolutely not! You adapted to your surroundings and
use common sense which some of us is lacking in this generation. Time is
important because you get to communicate on time-an example is this morning. I
walked in chipper and in color which I love and made small talk. This timing
was in the morning where usually people are still tired. Maybe because they didn’t
have the oatmeal. Now a place is a major key thing as well. You wouldn’t wear a
Dior dress to Burger King now would you? Unless your Beyoncé J . But if you’re out
and about at our campus, you’re more in a chill mode. More relax and clam
because you’re with people you feel comfortable with. The place setting is what
you make it. If you’re in the Gold Coast area your audience there would be
cold, maybe a little snobby. The audience in that place setting is wealth and
it would be hard to adapt to the audience in that area. It’s all about being
able to adapt. It’s knowing when to be
talk in a professional manner with management to get where you need to be. Also
knowing when to talk to your friends after work hours and on the weekends. Now I’m
going to leave you with this statement and think which audience you would be
talking to. “I want to get chocolate wasted!” …………Yes you guessed it! YOUR manager! :)
