The presentation of yesterday on product design was boring,
the normal man couldn’t handle that. Kevin Henry made yesterday’s lecture so
boring I actually almost fell asleep that’s the first time I done that in about
five years. The ideas he presented were interesting but it was so boring how
his tone was. It was not the tone one uses to educate an audience of college
students that are hyper active. Some students thought he tried to make us bored
through his presentation to test our brains. They think way too much to get
that from the presentation. But who knows maybe it could be true since it was
hard to say awake.
His slides were well done, with all
the details he put into them. The he had good effects and images that showed us
the audience what he was demonstrating. But they were too fast for anyone to
read. Also he didn’t say take this part for notes or anything, I understand not
all teachers tell you what to write but at least in some direction. Also one
must have time for questions since I worked with power point; one has to have
questions at the end of their presentations. Even though they can’t answer
them, one has to at least somewhat interact with their audience. He can’t just
talk expect that his audience will not want to give their opinion on the topic
on hand. It takes a really professor to be able to answer questions students
have.
Even though he might have PH.D in
his major, he hasn’t learned to fully give a power point to group of students.
Maybe he can read this post of my blog to help understand that almost everyone
was falling asleep in his lecture. I know it sounds harsh, but let’s be honest
he needs help on his people skills. Also it seemed he wanted to talk about his
book through the whole presentation. We understand you have book but we don’t all
want to know about it. Finally I would tell him more about his presentation but
it would just be to mean. That’s just not the type of guy I am.
